I have been staying up way too late this week. I’ve been making big updates on TattApp, trying to fix little issues that have plagued it since the beginning. I’m pretty happy with it at the moment. I started to make a new video to help promote it but I didn’t like the direction it was going. I did however like this new piece of art I made on the app.
I scrolled through Instagram last night and saw a friend I went to high school with posting a picture of some art he had made on his iPad with my app. That was neat to see. His last name is Sicking – we always called him “Sicko”. And his art is “Sick”!
Today I did a portrait of a dog on one of my heavy-hitters (I’ve sleeved one of her arms and almost both legs). She’s had a real bad run of luck lately. She lost her wallet which had $3000 in it and all her cards and ID. Her poor dog was accidentally killed. Her high schooler is going full rebellion on her. There’s more but I probably shouldn’t be sharing so much personal stuff.
The tattoo was going well when suddenly my $700 tattoo machine decided to alter the depth of my needle cartridge. One moment the needle was poking out about 3mm and then it just shot out to around 6mm. I adjusted it back and continued to work, and soon the needle retracted to where it wasn’t even poking out any more. I have never had a machine do that before. I gotta keep an eye on it, not sure what would cause that.
